On 10-11 May 2023, NIM Co-Programme Director Sonia Drobysz and Legal Officer Thomas Brown held the“Course on non-proliferation and disarmament law” for attendees from Members, Associate Members and Observers in RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation in Rakitje, Croatia.

The course, organised by RACVIAC and VERTIC explored contemporary international rules governing non-proliferation, disarmament and arms control, as well as related issues of international humanitarian law and the law on the use of force. The aim of this Course was for participants to understand how international law on non-proliferation and disarmament works; to learn to view topics and discussions in this field from a legal perspective and to appreciate how their professional positions relate to non-proliferation and disarmament law.

The course builds upon the  Learning Unit 17 of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament eLearning Course, developed by Sonia and Yasemin Balci, fellow NIM Co-Programme Director.
