On 13 December 2022, NIM held a side event to the Ninth Review Conference of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), with speakers from the government of the United Kingdom, the Foundation for Strategic Research and the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research.
The team organised this event to discuss relevant misconceptions (with a focus on BWC-related misconceptions) and to showcase resources developed under the project.
During the event, speakers shared their experience coming across misconceptions, explored the importance of challenging them, and provided information disproving common misconceptions related to the BWC and biological weapons. The report and webpage showcased during this event will be published on VERTIC’s website in Q1 2023
