We are very pleased to announce the launch of Learning Unit 17 of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament eLearning Course today. Sonia Drobysz and Yasemin Balci authored this learning unit, with assistance from Thomas Brown. We would like to thank Leibniz-Institut Hessische Stiftung Friedens- und Konfliktforschung / Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (HSFK/PRIF) for their development of this Learning Unit, which is freely available here.

Learning Unit 17 covers non-proliferation and disarmament law. It is meant for anyone interested in the legal aspects of non-proliferation and disarmament. In five chapters, the course addresses non-proliferation and disarmament as an area of international law; related areas of international law; national implementation; national enforcement; and European non-proliferation and disarmament law.

The EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament eLearning Course is an initiative of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium and is funded by the European Union. The Consortium consists of HSFK/PRIF, Fondation pour la recherche stratégique (FRS, Paris), the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS, London), Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), International Affairs Institute (IAI, Rome), and Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (VCDNP).
