VERTIC is a rapidly expanding charity focused on the verification, monitoring and implementation of international law. In the coming three years, we expect our turnover to regularly exceed £1m and our staff to grow to around twenty individuals. We, therefore, want to supplement our Senior Management Group with a Director of Finance.

We are looking for an individual with developed leadership skills, and a “sleeves rolled up” mentality, ready to support the rest of the management team.

The ideal candidate has previously worked as the FD/CFO/COO level in charities which has experienced significant growth and organisational development. This means that the candidate has familiarity with fundraising processes, including using different budgeting requirements across several jurisdictions.

 The candidate should also have the ability to reconcile those budget requirements with the charity’s overall budget. Moreover, the candidate should have experience with budgeting and financial forecasting, for projects, programmes and the organisation as a whole.

It is highly preferable if the candidate is an ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified accountant (or equivalent). Finally, the candidate should be used to be working within a Senior Management Group format.
