NIM Senior Legal Officer participates in national roundtable on UNSCR 1540 in Antigua and Barbuda

On 24 July, NIM Senior Legal Officer Sonia Drobysz participated in a national roundtable on strengthening the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1540 in St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda.

The event was organised by the government of Antigua and Barbuda and the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace, Disarmament and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNLIREC). Officials from the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Immigration, the Secretariat of the Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board, Customs and law enforcement as well as invited experts from UNLIREC, the Caribbean Community (Caricom) and the Stimson Center discussed general aspects of UNSCR 1540 and the status of its legal implementation in Antigua and Barbuda.
