More than sixty-five representatives from Permanent Missions
to the UN and NGOs crowded into Conference Room C for VERTIC's lunchtime
seminar on 'Approaches to national legislation for nuclear and biological
weapons treaties, norms and UN Security Council Resolutions' on Tuesday,
11 April 2006, at UN headquarters in New York. The seminar was held in
association with the UK Mission to the UN; Samantha Purdy, First Secretary
(Political) from the UK Mission welcomed participants to the seminar.
The event was part of VERTIC's project, 'Building
states' capacity to implement nuclear and biological weapons treaties,
norms and UN Security Council Resolutions'
