National implementation workshops and seminars in 2006

VERTIC and the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) recently organized a seminar for diplomats based in London on 'Approaches to national legislation for nuclear, biological and chemical weapons agreements'. The seminar, which took place on Monday 12 June 2006 at the FCO, attracted representatives from 35 embassies and high commissions. It was the latest event in VERTIC's series of seminars to raise states' awareness of the importance of implementing national measures for WMD agreements. The seminar and workshops series is part of VERTIC's project: 'Building states' capacity to implement nuclear and biological weapons treaties, norms and UN Security Council Resolutions'.
