On 1-2 November, the Asia-Pacific Safeguards Network held its 9th Annual Meeting in Vienna. Senior Researcher Alberto attended the meeting to learn about safeguards implementation in the Asia-Pacific region and to discuss VERTIC’s work on safeguards with interested states.
On 1-2 November, the Asia-Pacific Safeguards Network held its 9th Annual Meeting in Vienna. Senior Researcher Alberto attended the meeting to learn about safeguards implementation in the Asia-Pacific region and to discuss VERTIC’s work on safeguards with interested states.

The APSN consists of member countries and organisations from the region and aims to ‘facilitate the exchange of safeguards information, knowledge, and practical experience among member in order to strengthen safeguards capabilities’. It was launched in 2009, and VERTIC has been pleased to attend a number of its meetings.
